Cars allowed at Moselle Trois Forets ?

Hi everyone,

while looking at the new parkmap of Moselle I found out that every area of the park has it´s own parking lot. Does that mean that cars are allowed 24/7? Or is it simply because of the size of Moselle that they don´t have one big parking lot at the entrance ? I always liked the idea of one big parking lot at the entrance even if it meant a long walking distance i.e. at Bispinger Heide. Just imagine how much traffic there would be if half of the visitors leave the park each day for sightseeing.

Does anybody have any infos ?

Well, this is actually the most eye-catching characteristic of Trois Forets. All cottages are grouped together and linked to the outer cirlce of the park. Cars are allowed in this outer circle to reach the cottages and can be parked at each zone's own car park. You can see this on the map, each zone has a letter (not a number) and all car park symbols are accompanied by a letter, fe PH for car park H.
Cars cannot enter the heart of the park itself and this clever design is new for Trois Forets. Cyclists and pedestrians will mostly use the inner roads and subsequently will not encouter cars then.

Well, I can see the inner circle on the parkmap. And you´re right on that one. But what I´m really worried about is the traffic in front of the cottages as all the roads are one way streets and you do have to go all around your cottage area to reach the outer circle. We´re going to stay at No. 370 in september. So we´re in area K with another app. 80 cottages. I think it´s going to be a lot of traffic on those streets.

Hopefully, our week will be a calm one.
